C18. Two and a half storeys. No 38A painted rubble. No 38 stucco. Two
bays each. No 38A cross glazed sash windows with flush moulded frames and
2 modern shop windows on ground floor with central door. No 38 has 2 small
square bays on first floor, to left old wooden mullions, casement windows.
Formerly a doubled gabled late C17 front with gabled first floor oriels (see
photograph in NMR). Slate lean-to on posts to ground floor masking 2 glazing
bar projecting shop windows. Stone slate roof replaced with imitation stone
slates. Two gabled dormers each, No 38A hipped. Central and right hand
brick ridge chimneys. Door to No 38 has 6 flush panels, to right of No 38A.
Rear rubble, roof structure probably early-mid C18. No 38A has an early C18
2 storey extension to churchyard.
