Terrace of 23 cottages, 1850-60 for GWR. Coursed limestone rubble,
slate roofs 4 flue brick stacks on party walls. 2 storey, Nos. 5-9
consecutive of 2 bays, Nos. 10-28 single bay with side through
passage, all 2 rooms deep with lean-to stair at rear. C20
additions in walled rear yards. Ground floor openings with
segmental painted brick arches, 12-pane casements in deep painted
reveals. Doors inset on splay, with 15-pane lights to left room in
double bay units. Upper floor 4-pane casements, all with stone
sills. Rear walls of yards red brick with blue hogs-back copings
and boarded gates. Similar to 1-23 Taunton Street (q.v.).
Extensively renovated c1974.
