Terrace of 24 cottages, 1850-53, for Great Western Railway Company.
Coursed rubble limestone, slate roof with 4-flue brick stacks on
party walls. 2-storey. Nos. 1, 2 and 19 to 23, 2 bays, Nos. 3 to
18 single bay cottages, all 2 rooms deep with lean-to stair at
rear. C20 additions in walled rear yards. Ground floor openings
with segmental pointed brick arches, 12-pane casements in deep
painted reveals. 1970's door inset on splay wth 15-paned light to
left room in double units. Upper floor 4-pane casements, all with
stone sills. Rear walls of yards red brick with blue hogs-back
copings and boarded gates. Identical to Nos. 5-27 Exeter Street
(q.v.). Extensively renovated c1974.
