Corner site with St Anne's Street qv. Late C18 recasing of C16 timber frame.
3 storeys painted brick. Steep pitch hipped old tile roof. Front to Exeter
Street originally had 4 windows. 2 now blocked, to upper floors. 2 light sliding
sashes with glazing bars to left C19 sashes to right flush framed. Ground
floor has former pilastered doorway now converted to window. Bar entrance set
across corner which is splayed above, double doors, 2 panels and 2 round-headed
lights. St Anne's Street front has 2 windows, one blocked. 2 light sliding
sashes. Door of 4 flush panels, plain hood.
2 storey former stable wing, now garage along Exeter Street with old tile
roof. One 3-light mullioned casement and hatch on 1st floor. C19 sash window
and garage doors on ground floor. The original timber frame building was formerly
jettied on 1st and 2nd floors. 1st floor room has dragon beam. Roof retains
part of original structure: tie beam, v-braces, collars. Wall post survives
in kitchen.

The Old Bell Inn forms a group with Nos 2 to 18 (even) St Anne's Street.
