Together with the river block forms a quadrangular group of buildings, mainly
mid-late C18 with some parts later. Road front: a long C18 block, 2 storeys,
of 16 bays in 3 groups. The left hand of 5 bays with steep-pitched hipped
mansard slate roof; the centre of 5 bays with segmental-headed yard entrance
in left hand bay and flat-pitched slate roof; the right hand part is taller,
of 6 bays with a slate mansard roof. The walls are all colour-washed brick
on plinth except the left hand section, which is colour-washed flint and
brick in bands. Small pane windows, upper windows segmental-headed and
ground floor windows arched with radiating glazing. 4 window return to
south-east, upper windows segmental-headed 2-light casements.
