Circa 1860. 2 storey gault brick house with stone keyed lintels and cogged
eaves cornice. 5 windows on 1st floor, 4 on ground floor, cross glazed
sashes. Central pilastered doorcase with entablature. 4-panel door with
rectangular overlight and metal ring knocker. Slate roof with gable end
chimneys which have cogged band to salient capping. West gable end has
open pediment of cogged bricks to eaves. 3 storey wing to rear with arched
stone doorcase.
Interior: recently inserted Adam-style marble fireplace in front room to
right, original arched slate fireplace in front room to left. Staircase:
stone treads, good cast-iron balusters and mahogany rail. Included for
group value.
