Town Hall. Rebuilt 1738, heavy clock tower added 1889. 2 storeys, brick
on stone plinth, 1st floor string and chamfered quoins, moulded stone cornice,
hipped old tiled roof. 6 upper windows. 4-pane sashes in moulded stone
architraves. 4 similar windows and two 6-panelled doors in stone architrave
surrounds under flat hoods with panelled soffits on cut brackets. Fragments
of Town Jail said to be incorporated at back of building.
