Part of the St John's Hospital complex. Probably 1825 rebuilding of C16
house and incorporates part of the (late) Norman arcade. Forms 'L' plan
extension to south and west of chapel. Rubble and brick with flint. Tiled
roofs; gable end to east (below which is chapel) is coped, with belfry.
1 range of windows to south (and 1 panel on 1st floor), 2 ranges to east,
2-light casements. Door in return to south-east and in centre to east.
Inside in the kitchen is part of a (late) Norman pier imbedded in the wall.
