C17 on older foundations. Gable end to road, possibly once a toll house
for bridge. Thatch removed since previous survey (due to fire) and replaced
by modern tiled roof with flat eaves and 2 gabled dormers. Gable end brick
chimney to west. 1½ storeys. Road gable rubble with occasional flint work,
1 window on each floor, glazing bar sash on ground floor; roof raised by
brick courses. South front, part timber-framed with brick infill, ground
floor to left stone with some flint, right hand part all brick. A 3-light
casement to left, plain central door and later casements to right.
