SU 12 NE ALDERBURY SILVER STREET
(north side)

5/18 Old Timbers

GV II

Detached cottage. Late C17. Square panelled timber-framing with
straight bracing and brick infill, herringbone brick to upper
storey, thatched half-hipped roof, brick stacks. 3 unequal bays
of timber-framing with additonal brick bay to left. Single storey
and attic, 4-window. Door to left of centre in chamfered
shouldered case. All windows are cast iron casements of c1950
renovation, including 4 casements half in roof. Right return and
rear have same windows.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (July 1984). Renovation
by Longford Castle Estate.
