4/63 Shepherds Close Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage. Early C18. Flemish bond brick, with some
limestone and flint, thatched roof with brick stack. Single-storey
and attic, one window. Half-glazed door in thatched porch, one 3-
light casement to right on ground floor, and one small 2-light
casement in eye-brow dormer to attic. Left return has 2-light
metal casement to ground floor and 3-light metal casement to attic.
Lean-to Cl9 extension to rear.
Interior has chamfered ceiling beam with convex stops, open
fireplace with cambered chamfered bressumer with ogee stops,
winding stairs with planked door to south side of fireplace.
