6/93 Rowden's Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Circa 1700 with C18 extension. Flemish bond brick with
light timber-framing to attic, thatched roof with gable end brick
stacks. 2-room cottage with integral outshut, and lean-to thatched
extension to left. Entrance front at right-angles to road. One
storey and attic, 2 windows. Door in C20 thatched porch to left,
to right are two 2-light wooden casements with segmental arches
over. 3-brick plat band to first floor, two 2-light casements to
attic. Right return is gable-end to road; plat band continues from
front, single casement to first floor. Integral rear outshut has
two 2-light casements to ground floor and one 2-light casement to
central attic dormer.
Interior not inspected, but said to contain stairs in outshut.
