Cottage and attached shop. Circa 1840. Flemish bond brick with
vitrified headers, decorated tiled roof with brick stacks. L-plan.
2-storey, 3-window front. Door to right in gabled porch with hood
mould in gauged brick, to left is C19 shop window, and 2-light
casement and planked door under one hood mould, in projecting wing
to left, to right of door is 2-light cast-iron casement. All
windows have gauged flat arches. First floor has 3-brick plat band
and three 2-light cast-iron casements with hood moulds. Three
steeply-pitched gables to front have brick cornices. Left return
has door in gabled porch with hood mould and two 2-light cast-iron
casements. First floor has 3-brick plat band and two 2-light cast-
iron casements. Roof with two gables with brick cornices. Right
return has two single wooden casements to ground floor, plat band
to first floor and one C20 metal casement. Integral outshut to
rear has C20 dormer to roof. Well-designed estate building of the
Longford Castle Estate.
