Detached cottage. Mid C17. Painted flint and limestone in rough
chequers, corrugated iron roof formerly thatched, axial brick
stack. Baffle-entry plan. 2-storey, 3-window front. Central
half-glazed door in C20 porch, two 2-light casements to right and
one C20 2-light casement and one C19 casement to left. First floor
has two C20 2-light casements and one 2-light C19 casement. Right
return has one 2-light casement to first floor. Left return has
attached lean-to extension to ground floor. Rear has two 2-light
casements to ground floor and one 2-light casement to first floor.
Included mainly for interior features; C17 plan and very fine
carved and moulded ceiling beams and matching bressumer to blocked
open fireplace with, brick jambs reused from unknown building. Bay
added to right of C17 2-room cottage is probably C18.
