Hoopers Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C17. Chalk and flint bands or chequers with
limestone quoins and flint footings, thatched roof with brick
stacks. Integral outshut to rear. Single-storey and attic, 3
windows. To left is early C19 6-panelled door with flat wooden
hood, to right are three 2-light casements and a 4-panelled door.
Three eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements to attic. Roof has
coped verges. Left return is windowless. Right return has C20
half-glazed door and one 2-light casement to first floor. Integral
outshut to rear has one 3-light and one 2-light casement, attic has
central eyebrow dormer with single casement.
Interior has deeply chamfered beam with shaped stops and some reset
C17 oak wainscot panelling, with inlaid stars. (Unpublished
