Wellhouse to north
ST 93 SE
1/10003 west of Elston Hill
Wellhouse. 1840-58. Flemish bond brick with chamfered plinth and
pyramidal slate roof. Square plan with projecting lean-to on north
side. West elevation has timber lintel over fixed 6-light casement
adjoining plank door. Plank door to west end of lean-to. One of a
group of buildings at Elston Hill Farm built for Stephen Mills,
agricultural improver.
