II

Cottage, C17 and later. Timber framed and colourwashed cob,
thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 2 bays, extended beyond
gable stack by third bay, probably enclosing original entrance at
side of stack. Framing to rear wall only, 2 panels high with
straight corner braces. Boarded door with glazed panel to
extension. C20 timber windows with black painted surrounds.
Glazed outbuilding attached to right end.
Interior: Stair in shorter inner bay. Chamfered spine beam with
ogee stops to main living room. Floors pegged into original
structure. Clasped purlin roof, with windbraces to south bay
only.
