3/86 Bridge Cottage
II

House. Early C18 and C20. Rendered cob on flint footings,
extended in colourwashed brick. Thatched roof. Two storeys, 4
bays, lobby entry plan to original structure of 3 bays comprising
living room to left, and two narrower rooms to right. Fourth bay
c1940 kitchen extension. Boarded door in elementary porch, paned
casement windows, but C20 metal windows to extension. Roof half
hipped to left, with truss exposed and infilled with wattle and
daub.
Interior has main fireplace in left room blocked. Spine beams with
run-out stops. Awaiting modernisation at time of survey, July,
1986.
