Gates and front wall
to Manor House

Gate piers, gates and front wall to forecourt of Manor House
(q.v.). Early-mid C18. Brick with stone coping to piers and wall.
Iron gates. Piers of 585mm rubber bricks with lime putty joints,
bead moulded arrises, necking and stone cornices. Block above but
finials absent. Inner stops with moulded brick tops. Wall either
side approximately 1.4m high with flush chamfered stone copings
swept up to return walls at ends of house elevation. Gates have
curved heads and decorative centre panels, and dog rails. Crested
overthrow with cast metal finials.
