Two cottages. C15. Rendered cob and flint with thatched roof.
Single storey and attic, 3 bays, with canted extension to right
against main road (A338). Boarded doors to both cottages with
thatched canopies. C19 paned windows, some replaced in mid C20.
Two flush dormers to No 1 formed in 2-centred arches, and 2 flush
dormers to No 2.
Interior originally had open hall in centre bay with 2 storey solar
bay to left, now No 1. Five cruck couples, altered, the upper bay
with collar and mounted purlins. Heavy floor joists. Apex of
trusses and Cottage No 2 not seen.
