House. C17, C18 and early C19. Rendered cob on stone sills, with
rear wing partly of colourwashed chalk block, and extension to
right of colourwashed brick, thatched roof. Two storeys, main
block of 3 bays parallel to road with lateral entrance into central
living room through early C19 part-octagonal brick and timber porch
with thatched roof. Rear wing on left, partly cob and end bay of
chalk, with a brick external oven. Added in C19 on right gable end
is an octagonal 2-storey extension with garden room on ground
floor. Timber casement windows, and 9-paned sashes to octagonal
extension with Gothic intersecting pointed arched windows to upper
floor. Inscription on rear reads: Put on new rouf (sic) 1640(?).
Interior not seen, may be of interest.
