of Milestone Cottage)

GV II

House, left half of a pair. C18. small coursed limestone rubble with Chilmark
stone flush quoins plain tile roof; large late C19 brick extension back right.
Two storeys, 2 windows; 3 light casements with leading under smaller similar
with thin wood mullions, broad wood lintels, central C20 glazed door under flat
hood. Fenestration is offset left of centre. Back has good early leaded
2-light casement at first floor. Large brick gable stacks. The whole building
lies below pavement level with a part-concealed plinth and step down to doorway;
it forms a good pair with the adjacent Milestone Cottage (q.v.).
