Milestone. Dated 1750. Limestone block c.1 m x 450 x 275 mm with wave-curve top. Incised inscription, on south side, 'XXII/MILES FROM/SARUM/ /FROM LONDON/1750. Stone is set in the middle of the track-way, now abandoned as a working route, and one of a series on the ridgeway. More worn than the others in the series. ANCIENT MONUMENT, County No. 412
