6/68 Georgian House

GV II

House and shop. C18 but C19 roof. Coursed and squared painted stone, rubble
returns, low-pitched Welsh slate roof, brick stack, right, shared with adjoining
property. Two storeys, 2 windows. First floor has two large 12-pane sashes at
outer wall face, above a full-width recessed shop front with canted plate glass
display sides to central glazed door with overlight. The full width fascia is
carried by two slender quatrefoil-section 'Batty Langley' cast iron columns.
Interior also retains some cast iron supports. Back has wing with paired
16-pane sashes at first floor, and a further, lower outhouse beyond.
