9/58 Temple to east of Rushmore house



Temple of Vesta. 1890 for General Pitt-Rivers. Limestone
ashlar, copper domed roof. Rotunda. Fifteen composite columns
to entablature with egg and dart frieze and modillioned cornice,
restored domed copper roof, on 9-step stylobate. Part of a
landscaped garden and its position relates to the walled garden,
(q.v.), to the west, with views through the gates to open country
