1/165 Rose Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage with C20 annexe. Late C17 and C20. Rubble stone,
oak shingled roof, concrete stacks. Gable-end to road. Two-
storey, 2-window south front; central C20 glazed door in gabled
porch, 3-light recessed hollow-chamfered mullioned window either
side, 3-light casement to right. First floor has 2-light and 3-
light diamond-leaded casements. Left return is gable-end to road;
2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to ground and first
floor, blocked chamfered light to attic. Rear has 3-light recessed
chamfered mullioned to right of C20 door in gabled porch, first
floor has two 3-light casements and C20 dormer to left. C20 2-
storey rear extension in sympathetic style has 2-light casements
and steeply-pitched roof. C20 extension to front is flat-roofed.
Interior has open fireplace with chamfered lintel on stone jambs,
at west end.
