8/196 Old Foundry

GV II

Detached cottage. Datestone: FN/1706 in moulded oval tablet over
door. Limestone ashlar, tiled roof, gable-end brick stacks. Two-
storey, 2-window front. Central half-glazed door in cyma-moulded
case, 2-light casement to either side, continuous string course
carried over door. First floor has two 16-pane sashes. To left is
C19 extension with French windows to ground floor and 4-pane sashes
to ground and first floors. Right return is limestone and flint
bands with C20 casement to attic.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (April 1985).
