Primary school. Mid C18. Flemish bond brick with vitrified
headers and stone quoins, hipped tiled roof. Single storey with
attic windows. Round-arched chamfered stone doorway with keystone
to left and right, between are five round-arched stone window
surrounds with keystones, 24-pane fixed windows, the middle one is
narrow. Impost band. Three hipped dormers with pivot-hung windows
to roof. Right return is windowless with 3-brick plat band. Left
return has C20 single-storey extension with blocked round-arched
doorway and hipped roof. To rear is late C19 extension with pivot-
hung windows and Welsh slate roof. Interior retains 4 and 6-
panelled doors. Founded by Sir Richard Howe, 1722.
