3/60 The Parsonage
GV II
Detached house. Mid C17, altered c1830. Chequer flint and
limestone, alternately plain and fishscale tiled roof with coped
verges and gable end brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-windowed front;
sashes. Two-storey C19 gabled porch to right of centre with
moulded opening and late C19 sidelights, margin-pane half-glazed
inner door, tripartite plate glass sash either side. First floor
has margin-pane sash either side of porch with margin-pane sash and
sidelights. Left return has large stone and flint external stack
with offsets. Right return has chamfered lights. Rear has French
windows, margin pane glazed door and sashes, 1830's two-span roof
rear range with margin-pane sashes.
Interior has open fireplace with chamfered lintel, chamfered beam
with ogee stops to ground floor east room, west room has wide
chamfered beam. Entrance hall with stairs with turned balusters,
wreathed and moulded handrail, moulded ceiling cornice and moulded
niches.
