Description

WYLYE WARMINSTER ROAD
SU 03 NW
(south side), Deptford
2/141 Milestone near junction with A303
GV II
Milestone. Late C18. Limestone pillar with pitched top and
incised lettering; To/SARUM/XI/To/Warminster/X/1766. This
milestone may have been reset during-road improvements; a cast-
iron milepost (q.v.) exists opposite on the north side of the road
which presumably replaced this one.
