Milepost about 100 metres east-
of entrance to Manor Farm

Milepost. 1840. Cast-iron classical-style pillar with low
pedimented capping, raised lettering to front: SALISBURY / 12 /
WARMINSTER / 9, the lower half of post has sunk into bank. One of
series of cast-iron mile posts and boundary posts on turnpikes
radiating from Warminster and manufactured by Carson and Miller, a
firm of Warminster ironfounders.
