GV II


Inn. Early C19. Painted dressed limestone, hipped Welsh slate
roof with brick stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 4-window. Late
C19 glazed porch with C20 double doors and 12-pane sashes to
centre, 12-pane sash to left and original canted bay with sashes
and one 12-pane sash to right. First floor has four 12-pane
sashes. Left return has 12-pane sash and C20 flat-roofed
extension, 9-pane sash and blind window to first floor. Rear 2-
storey late C19 wing has 2-light aluminium casements, double Roman
tiled roof with coped verge, C20 flat-roofed extension to rear.
Named after the Penruddocke family of Compton Chamberlayne.
