II


Farmhouse. Circa 1830. Rendered, Welsh slate hipped roof with
brick ridge stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 3-window north front.
Central timber Tuscan porch, door with 4 raised panels and transom
light with guilloche glazing bars, either side is 12-pane sash.
First floor has three 12-pane sashes. Roof on deep eaves. Left
return has three 12-pane sashes to both floors. Rear has sashes
with central trellised pent porch. Rear wing has sashes, C20
balcony to gable end. Interior not accessible at time of survey
(March 1986). Good example of early C19 farmhouse in Chalke
family.
