Detached house. Late C17. Rubble stone, tiled roof with stone
slate eaves, gable end coped verges and stone stacks with moulded
cappings. Three-cell house. Two-storey, 4-window. Central C20
door with flat stone hood on brackets and recessed chamfered side
lights with hoodmoulds and small light and 3-light recessed
chamfered mullioned casement with hoodmould to left, 3-light ovolo-
mullioned casement to right. First floor has two 3-light and two
2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. Right return has
3-light ovolo-mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to ground and
first floors, bench mark incised on right quoin. Left return has
single recessed chamfered Light to attic. Rear has C20 planked
doors and C20 two-light and 3-light casements, four C20 gabled
dormers.
Interior has open fireplace with chamfered lintel on stone jambs in
former kitchen at west end. First floor has chamfered ceiling beam
with runout stops and stone Tudor-arched fireplace at west end, 4-
bay roof with two tiers of butt purlins and some straight wind
bracing. House extensively restored during 1970s.
