Pound Cottage

Detached cottage. C17, altered C20. Rendered rubble stone,
thatched roof with coped verge to right and gable end brick stacks.
Single storey and attic, 3 windows. Central half-glazed door with
gabled hood, 3-light C20 casement to left and 3-light casement to
right. Attic has two eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements and
central raking dormer. Right return has single stone window
surround to left and single wooden casement to attic. Rear has 3-
light hollow-chamfered mullioned casement with hoodmould to left
and C20 two-light and 3-light casements to right, first floor has
three 2-light casements,. Attached to right is C20 addition, in
place of former outbuildings.
Interior retains two open fireplaces with chamfered lintels on
stone jambs, chamfered ceiling beam with stepped stops.
