GV II

Shop and house with attached former bakery. Late C18 with C19 shop
front. Dressed limestone, concrete tiled roof, gable end brick
stacks. Two-storey, 4-window; sashes. To left of main range is
good unaltered C19 glazed shopfront with small panes and central
double half-glazed doors with transom light, to right is blocked
sash and C20 door up concrete steps. First floor has four 16-pane
flush sashes. Left return has 2-light casements. Rear has C20
casements and four C20 gabled dormers to attic. Attached to right
is 2-storey former bakehouse with planked door and 2-light
casements, original tiled roof.
Interior of shop has cast-iron columns supporting shopfront. A
good, little altered example of a village store.
