GV II

Coaching inn, now shop and house. Late C18. Painted English bond
brick, tiled roof with half-hips and brick stacks. Two-storey, 4-
window. Central C19 shop front with 2 recessed glazed doors, plate
glass windows either side and pilasters and consoles to cornice, 6-
panelled door and blocked sash to right, double half-glazed doors
to left, chamfered rusticated quoins to left corner only. First
floor has four 12-pane sashes and one blocked window. One hipped
attic dormer with 2-light casement. Right return truncated during
road improvements in 1959, two 12-pane sashes to ground and first
floor, reset. Rear outshut with 3-light casement and sash, C19
wing to left with hipped roof and C20 flat-roofed extension.
Interior not of special interest. The Swan Inn until mid C19.
