4/242 Robin Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage. C17. Rubble stone, half-hipped thatched roof,
axial brick stack. Baffle entry. Single storey and attic, 2
windows. Central planked door in gabled porch with 2-light
casement to left in recessed chamfered surround, 2-light casement
and blocked doorway to right. Eyebrow dormer to left has 2-light
casement, 2-light casement to right first floor. Left return has
single-light casement to ground and first floors.
Interior has deeply chamfered beams, planked doors, two open
fireplaces, one blocked but retaining cambered lintel, other with
renewed lintel on chamfered stone jambs. Tudor arched chamfered
stone doorway leads to rear extension.
