4/269 The Knapp

GV II

Detached house. Late C17. Rubble stone, thatched roof with
gable end brick stacks and coped verges. Entrance to rear. Two-
storey, 3-window south front. Two C20 doors in chamfered stone
surrounds, within C20 glazed porch, 2 and 3-light recessed
chamfered mullioned casements either side. First floor has 3-
light, 2-light and 3-light mullioned casements. Rear has early
C20 extension with pitched roof and brick stack, main range has 2-
light mullioned casement to first floor. Interior not accessible
at time of survey (February 1986).
