4/294 Terrace balustrade and steps
up to orangery


Balustrading on terrace and steps with balustrading. 1890s.
Limestone balustrade with round-arched open panels, channelled
rusticated end and intermediate piers with ball finials or urns,
flat coping. Long flight of straight stone steps with flanking
balustrades. Style and details of balustrading identical to
balustrading on steps to 1891 wings of Pythouse (q.v.).
