Milestone. Probably early C19. Limestone pillar with pitched top. Incised lettering to front: SARUM / 17 / HINDON / I. Road from Salisbury to Willoughby Hedge via Hindon was turnpiked 1760-62. (VCH, Wiltshire, Vol 4, 1959)
