5/18 Pertwood Manor Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse. Mid C18, altered mid C19, extended 1960s. Rendered
brick, chamfered stone quoins and dressings, tiled roof with beaver
tail tiles, coped verges, stone and brick stacks. Two parallel
ranges, central entrance to right of stack. Two-storey, 4-window
east front. Central double half-glazed doors with two 16-pane
sashes in recessed chamfered surrounds with hoodmoulds either side.
First floor has two 12-pane sashes and two 16-pane sashes, all in
recessed chamfered surrounds with hoodmoulds. Good saddleback
coped verges, the left one with small finial. Attached to right is
2-storey 1960s addition in same style, with C19 single-storey range
with casements to right. Rear has central C19 gabled stone porch
with Tudor-arched doorway, ogee hoodmould with finial, recessed
chamfered 12-pane sash and C20 casements either side, first floor
has three sashes in recessed chamfered surrounds and one C20
casement. Interior not accessible at time of survey (August 1986),
but said to contain C19 or C20 fittings.
