8/53 Forge Cottage
GV II
Cottage at end of row. Probably c1700 and altered C18. Dressed
limestone and brick, hipped thatched roof with brick stack to
right. Two-storey, 2-window. Four-panelled door in gabled porch
attached to left return, two 2-light casements to right, left one
in blocked doorway. First floor has pair of 2-light casements.
Early C20 two-storey rear wing attached to left. Interior not
accessible at time of survey (September 1986).
