Clock Tower Lodge

Lodge to Stourhead (q.v.). 1791 for Richard Colt Hoare, by William
Reveley, extended 1844. Limestone ashlar front with chamfered
quoins, hipped Welsh slate roof with axial ashlar stack. Single-
storey with rear attics. Central square stone porch with Tudor-
arched doorway with hoodmould, 4-panelled inner door, parapet with
pierced triangles as also used on Estate Office (q.v.), 3-light
mullioned casement with cusped lights and hoodmould either side.
Roof on deep eaves. Rubble stone return, 2-light casements. Added
rear range with casements.
