11/22 Pear Tree Cottage
(previously known as Rodden Cottage)

Cottage. Early Cl9 incorporating earlier fabric. Limestone rubble,
faced in rendered brickwork. C20 tiled roof. Two storeys, 2
unequal bays containing living room to left with gable stack, and
service rooms to right of entrance. Six panelled door, bead
moulded lower panels, fielded centre panels and glazed upper
lights. Triangular canopy on cut brackets. Sixteen-paned sash
windows with moulded beads around frames. Brick stack added to
facade on right. Tile and slate hung gables, the left gable
incorporating fragmentary timber frame. Single storey wing to rear
with tiled roof.
Interior has raking queen strut roof, clasped purlins and curved
wind braces. Some smoke blackened timbers in south bay.
