GV II
Cottage. Mid C18. Rendered on cob, on brick footings, thatched
roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, with stack axial to centre
bay, inner room behind, and entrance to service room at north end.
Boarded door. C20 paned timber windows, and two flush dormers to
front, one to rear. Roof half-hipped. Brick stack with pots. Cob
wall, approximately 4m high on left, links to Cottage No 2 (q.v.).
Cottages Nos 1, 2 and 3, all to identical plans, form an
interesting group of estate cottages presumably for, and following
the erection of the Manor House (q.v.) and together illustrate
contemporary but contrasting building methods.
