Farmhouse. C15, altered early C17. Flint with stone quoins, brick
dressings to openings, and tiled roof. Two storeys, 2 bays, with
cross wing to right, also of 2 bays. Boarded door at junction of
cross wing with supported timber canopy. Ground floor has 4-light,
upper floor 3-light C19 timber casements. Roof hipped and each
block has central brick stack. Gable of cross wing has stone
Interior: Main range is C15 or early C16 two-bay hall, probably
originally timber framed, with braces to tie-beams. Large inserted
fireplace with oven. Cross wing has the major parlour to rear,
with ogee and hollow chamfer moulded cross beams. Stone fireplace
with Tudor arch and blind spandrels. Plainer fireplace to front
room, which has chamfered spine beam with ogee stops, probably C18.
Stone fireplace to chamber on first floor.
