Primary School, formerly village school. Dated 1858 on foundation memorial
inside. By Davies and Tew of Chesterfield. Gothic. Coursed, squared rubble
with freestone dressings; modern tiled roof. Asymmetrical elevation L-plan.
1 storey building with 2 gabled cross wings to front (north) elevation. Former
school house forms part of east elevation. 1-, 2- and 4-light windows, some
with cusped heads. Spherical triangles in gables. 3-stage bell tower with
pyramidal slate roof; 2 centred arch doorway under hood. Dobbie B.M.W.,
