10/27 The Vicarage


Former vicarage. c1809, with later alterations. Coursed rubble, stone
slate roofs. 2 storeys. In 3 ranges. Central range: 3 first-floor
windows. C20 gabled central porch in ashlar with Welsh slate roof. On
ground floor to right: c1900 projecting bay window with lead roof. Other
windows are sashes with glazing bars, ashlar lintels and sills. flipped
roof, end stacks. To left, subsidiary range, set back: 1 ground- and
2 first-floor sash windows with glazing bars, end stack left. To right,
taller range with ashlar quoins, 1 bay of sash windows with glazing bars,
ashlar sills and lintels, hipped roof. Right return with 3 bays;windows as
before, eaves ashlar stacks between bays 1 and 2 and at end right.
