GV II

House. C18 and C19. Roughcast rubble, stone slate roof. Complex plan of
3-storey, 5-bay block with later accretions. Main range, ground floor:
rusticated quoins right, central sandstone ashlar portico with 2 Greek Doric
columns in antis; to left 16-pane sash window in plain ashlar surround ; to
right, 2 sash windows with altered glazing in moulded ashlar surrounds.
First floor: bays one and 2, sash windows with glazing bars in plain ashlar
surrounds; bays 3, 4 and 5, sash windows with glazing bars in moulded ashlar
surrounds. Second floor: taller sash windows with glazing bars in plain
ashlar surrounds. Shaped kneeler and ashlar coping left, stacks between
bays 2 and 3 and at end right. To left, slightly projecting 2 storey early-
mid C19 range, with rusticated quoins. On each floor a plate-glass Venetian
window in moulded surround, with inner Doric columns. Hipped roof, end
stack left.
